KNOW WHAT YOUR VAGINAL DISCHARGE MEANS
Admit it: You've absolutely inspected your discharge yes you even went as far as smelling it before !!! How can you not, when it's right there on your underwear?!. I for one inspect my pant after putting it off, more like a routine to me and guys you need to see the smile on my face if everything seems normal
Most of the time it might look pretty normal white or clear, a bit stretchy, and wet, clearly but...what if it doesn't look like that?
Wait!! Don't freak out just yet. Your discharge can change throughout your cycle like, if you have just completed your period, it can have a brown tint. But there are times when you should be at least a little concerned like when your discharge looks kind of white and clumpy and to top it has a fishy smell
But how else can you tell if your vaginal discharge is normal or a sign that something’s up down there? To help you translate whatever message your vagina is trying to send you, here are six kinds of vaginal discharges you might have and what each one means.

But how else can you tell if your vaginal discharge is normal or a sign that something’s up down there? To help you translate whatever message your vagina is trying to send you, here are six kinds of vaginal discharges you might have and what each one means.
1.WHITE, WET, STICKY AND SLIPPERY DISCHARGE; PROBABLY INDICATING AN OVULATION
This slippery discharge appears at the end of your cycle; it’s your body’s way of making it easier for sperm to slide into your vagina and fertilize an egg. Oooops๐๐
“Discharge at ovulation can be FULL, i often hear from females who are worried something is wrong, but it’s normal.” No wonder women have been found to prefer penetrative sex during their ovulation, your discharge is apparently a homemade lube. But mind you you're 98% fertile this period so you gotta be careful if you"re not ready for a bun in the oven๐๐
2.WHITE, THICK AND CRAZY ITCHY DISCHARGE; PROBABLY A YEAST INFECTION
Yeast infections are caused by an overgrowth of Candida, a bacteria that lives in your vagina naturally, helping balance the other bacteria down there.
There’s usually a lot of cottage-cheese looking discharge and while it doesn’t have an odor, it’s accompanied by intense itching of the outer or inner labia. A yeast infection is incredibly common and can be caused by a lot of things, such as taking antibiotics , wearing wet pants or sitting around in your damp gym clothes because “Yeast love warm, moist environments,” Severe yeast infection may cause swelling of the labia(lips) outside of the vagina but not to worry its totally curable.
3.YELLOWISH GREEN DISCHARGE AND IT STINGS A LITTLE; PROBABLY GONORRHEA OR CHLAMYDIA
Chlamydia and Gonorhea are two common bacterial STDs. Other signs of either infection include pelvic pain and burning while urinating but one thing to worry about is most women have no symptoms.
Once your doctor diagnoses chlamydia or gonorrhea, they’re easily cured with antibiotics. Thing is, you have to get your guy to see a doctor, as well. “Both partners need to be cured, or you’ll keep passing either infection back and forth to each other like a basketball and we don't want that or do we??
4.GRAYISH, WATERY AND STRONG "FISHY"ODOUR VAGINAL DISCHARGE; PROBABLY VAGINOSIS(BV)
“The odor is the defining trait of bacterial vaginosis, its kind of a foul, fishlike smell. I know its not something you would want to perceive when you take off your undies. It’s a bit of a mystery why some women develop BV, but it generally means that something has upset the bacterial balance in your vagina
BV is actually incredibly common (it’s the most common vaginal infection among women ages 15 to 44 and is easily cured with prescription meds once your doctor diagnoses it.
5.BROWN OR REDDISH DISCHARGE; PROBABLY CAUSED BY BREAKTHROUGH BLEEDING
Breakthrough bleeding happens most often in the first few months after a woman starts popping oral contraceptives , as her body adjusts to the new hormones, but it can also happen right before or after your period and it's typically totally normal
If it’s not that time of the month for you i.e. the bloody discharge occurs without turning into a period or coming after one it might be related to ovulation. This kind of staining is common in young women, either at the time of ovulation or in the days after, as your body goes through extra hormonal changes. Either way, it’s not usually cause for concern.
There is one exception: “If you have persistent spotting/brownish discharge, then it needs to be investigated,” as it could mean something else is going on so It's best to make an appointment with your doc to rule out any other serious conditions
6.FROTHY, FOUL SMELLING AND GREENISH VAGINAL DISCHARGE; PROBABLY TRICHOMONIASIS

6.FROTHY, FOUL SMELLING AND GREENISH VAGINAL DISCHARGE; PROBABLY TRICHOMONIASIS
Trichomoniasis is the most common curable STD in the country yet you don’t have to have sex to catch it. “Trichomoniasis is caused by an organism that can live on towels, vibrators, and other inanimate objects.
Equally as alarming, most men and women who have it don’t show symptoms but if left untreated, it can make it easier for a woman to contract HIV and affect her baby’s health if she is pregnant. The good news is that it can be treated and cured with a prescription pretty quickly.
